Archpriest Alexander Garklavs to present " The Autocephaly of the Orthodox Church in America and What It Means for Our Ministry"

The Orthodox Church in America’s Office of Pastoral Life (OPL) announced that Archpriest Alexander Garklavs will deliver the keynote address at the June 2025 Synaxis Clergy online conference, scheduled for Tuesday, June 17, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Eastern Time.
Father Alexander’s presentation, titled The Autocephaly of the Orthodox Church in America and What It Means for Our Ministry, will invite clergy to reflect on the ongoing significance of the Church’s self-governing status and its impact on pastoral ministry in North America.
Drawing on his many years of priestly service and theological insight, Father Alexander will lead participants in a thoughtful exploration of the unique ecclesial context of Orthodox Christian life in North America, encouraging both a deeper historical awareness and practical pastoral engagement.
